PHOTOGRAMETRY

Photogrammetry is a technique that allows us to create three-dimensional digital models of surfaces by taking photographs from different angles. Using software we can process all these photographs into a single one with relief.

The use of drones has been a revolution for the topography of large areas. The drone is programmed to cover a flight area autonomously, photographing every certain amount of time or route to generate the desired overlap. In this way, we are able to map quickly and economically with centimetric precision in both PPK and RTK, up to 200 hectares per day.

The result obtained, in order of post-processing, is a point cloud, followed by a mesh and finally a textured mesh. Each of the models discussed is shown below:

USES

  • Topography: obtaining geo-referenced orthophotographs to delimit land, measure distances, calculate slopes, among others.
  • Heritage: generation of historical structures, singular façades.
  • Mining: calculation of volumes and earth movements.
  • Linear works: calculation of track widths and linear distances.
  • Virtual scenarios: through the color point cloud we generate textured meshes for the generation of virtual environments for video games, films, or augmented reality.
