Hotel Paseo de Gracia (LiDAR)
On this occasion, the client required the reverse engineering of the façades of the hotel for it’s ‘rehabilitation’. Due to the difficulty of creating planes in a conventional way, we used the LiDAR terrestrial system for collecting the data.
We stationed the laser in different points, so to cover all the three façades that compose the hotel. Based on the photographs of where the scanner was positioned, we can texture the point cloud obtained. These photographs will be georeferenced in function of the data obtained by the LiDAR.
From the point clouds we create the orthophotography in which we draw the planes with real dimensions. Then, we can extract the 2D and 3D planes of the three façades.
